We build software ourselves, from the first idea through development, testing, release, and everything that comes after. Our products are designed to solve specific problems without adding unnecessary complexity, intrusive data collection, or features simply because they can be built.
We believe good software should feel considered. It should be fast, understandable & reliable, respect the user, and continue to be useful long after the novelty has worn off.

Technology is at its best when it gets out of the way.
We prefer focused software over bloated platforms, useful features over endless settings & straightforward experiences over interfaces that make people work to understand them. Every product starts with a problem worth solving, and every feature has to earn its place.
That philosophy shapes everything we build. From small utilities to larger software products, we aim to make tools that are practical, dependable, and enjoyable to use. We don't build software to chase trends. We build it because we believe there is a better way to do something.

AppZano develops software across desktop, mobile and the web, with each product built around a clear purpose.
Our work includes mobile applications, desktop software, web applications, WordPress plugins and specialised digital tools. We build both the products people use directly and the underlying systems that support them, giving us control over the experience from interface to backend.

AppZano is an independent, founder-led software company. The people behind the products are directly involved in the ideas, development, testing and decisions that shape them.
We're supported by a wider network of talented people and specialists when a project calls for expertise outside our own. But the direction remains deliberately close to the people building the software.
Being small gives us something we value: fewer layers between an idea and the finished product, and the freedom to make decisions based on what is right for the software rather than what fits a corporate process.

How We Build
Built From The Ground Up
We develop our software in-house using modern technologies across mobile, web and desktop platforms. Our stack includes TypeScript, React, React Native, Expo, Next.js, WordPress, PHP, Vite, Node.js, Tauri, Rust, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Three.js, React Three Fiber and GSAP.
For distribution and commercial infrastructure, we work with technologies and services including Stripe, RevenueCat, AdMob, GitHub, Vercel and Render.
The technology changes depending on the problem. We don't force every product into the same framework or architecture. Instead, we choose the tools that give each application the right balance of performance, maintainability, security and user experience.

Our Approach To Technology
Technology Should Serve The Person Using It.
We are interested in technology, but we are not interested in technology for its own sake.
Where possible, AppZano products favour local processing, offline functionality and minimal data collection. We design with privacy and security in mind from the beginning rather than treating them as features to be added later.
That means making deliberate choices about what software needs to send to a server, what can remain on a device, what information needs to exist at all, and how much control should remain with the person using the product.
For us, good software development is not simply about making something work. It is about making something work properly.

Some products are broad. Others solve a very specific problem for a much smaller audience. We are comfortable with both. A product doesn't need millions of users to be worthwhile; it needs to genuinely improve something for the people who use it.

Independent By Design
Small By Design. Serious About Software
AppZano is independently built and deliberately focused. We don't have layers of management between an idea and the person developing it, or a large organisation deciding which problems are worth solving.
That gives us room to experiment, change direction and spend time on details that larger software companies can overlook. It also means we take responsibility for what we release. The same people thinking about a product are close to its development, its users and its future.
We would rather build a smaller number of genuinely useful products than fill a catalogue with software that has no reason to exist.
